ITU World Triathlon Series, one of the rounds this year was Vattenfall Thrialon Stockholm 2015 and it was a fully booked event with over 4000 age groupers registered to swim, bike and run in the city.
Whether you’re a resident of Stockholm or just visiting, if you you were walking in in the heart of Stockholm strolling in Old Town and by the castle you couldn’t miss them.

The Beach flags, they were everywhere framing the rout the athletes had to pass. Not all were Maxibit BeachFlags but a rough guess is that 90% around the course would be close to the truth. Screenbolaget delivered Maxibit BeachFlags and a seemingly endless stretch of banners covering the fence all around the track.

Main times to be there was:
Saturday 12:26 – The womens race started
Sunday 08:00-12:50 – Start of the age group race with over 4000 participants.
Sunday 15:36 – The mens race started

Sarah True defended her title from last year in Stockholm and Javier Gomez Noya toped the podium on Sundays race.
The race took place in central Stockholm with the transition area for the age group race located at City Hall. The elite transition area and the finish area for all athletes was outside the Royal Palace.
The schedule for next years ITU World triathlon stage in Stockholm 2016 will be July 2nd and 3rd.
Hopefully we will get the chance to cover Stockholm in sponsor colors next year too.
