Dar-Expo and WWF

In an effort to save the beautiful nature area – Ukok Plateau – from having a pipeline build across the beautiful wildlands Dar-Expo cooperated World Wildlife Fund to help raise awareness of the plans to exploit the area. Here is the story directly from an article about Dar-Expo in the World Wildlife Fund magazine:

”WWF managed to gather more than 5000 Russian citizens signatures in defence of Ukok plateau against Gazprom development plans in this region. Ukok plateau is part of UNESCOS world wide natural heritage »Golden Altai Mountains«. To attract peoples attention to this problem WWF, with support of Mega trading center and Maxibit, organized a photo exhibition presenting the wonderful nature of the Altai region.

The exhibition showed visitors the beauty of the place and informed them of the danger the plateau faces and why it needs to be protected. Visitors to the exhibition added their signatures to the protest and in support of the initiative to save the area. Maxibit, a professional in solving expo-marketing tasks, have been a WWF supporter for several years. As a supporter Maxibit felt that they could not turn away from this issue. Maxibit kindly offered WWF not only the display systems but also printed the photos for the exhibition.

WWF hopes that the initiative will reach and make an impact on the Russian government and Gazprom.”
