Flottsunds bridge on Stage

Spider in Stockholm had an assignment for Uppsala municipality where they would inform about the new bridge. When they visited Maxibits’ large Showroom on Elektravägen they saw our Stage Ellipse. They saw potential with a small change. They asked if they could do the same thing but with straight bottom.

Since the Stage is such a flexible system we could easily answer yes to that. And it certainly is a good match with the rounded top to represent a bridge!

There has been a bridge at Flottsund since the 1600s and the one that stands there today was built in 1924, it has done it’s job and it’s time fore something new. The new bridge is planned to be inaugurated the summer of 2017. In conjunction with the bridge being renovated the area around the bridge will get a face-lift too. The goal is to make Flottsund to a place where you not only pass, but want to stop and be. Pedestrian and bicycle paths will be built, new vegetation planted and a kayak pier is being built north of the bridge.
